H.L. Compared to WARDAEMONIC's new releases "Obsequium", the sound of this recording is much more unpolished. The pitch-black songs are straight forward and embossed by fast and uncompromising riffing. Brutality and aggression rule the overall atmosphere. The daemonic vocals fit well, but stay in the background. Favorite track: Dead Winter's Serenade.

Jem Newlyn How have I not heard of this brutal black metal horde from the west edge of our burning southern land until now? I'm halfway through my first listen, but quite impressed with this wonderfully savage debut album from a band I'm sure is to become a favourite of mine. Favorite track: The Return of Darker Ages.

Wardaemonic Perth, Australia

WARDAEMONIC plays ancient, streamlined black metal. Relying heavily on tremolo picked fast riffing and consistent relentless blasting, WARDAEMONIC set themselves aside from peers within the genre by interspersing their brutality with catchy, droning slow sections. ... more
